hi I cant open thunderbird to get my emails. It is just a white screen , I have to force it to close the page which says unresponsive. I have restarted my computer but still not working.

I am using zebra-striping for my Thunderbird email (78.14.0, 32-bit), alternating between white and light green. This is generated by the following code in my userChrome file. (The forum seems to change my code after it's posted, but the attached screenshot shows the actual code):

When the selected message is a white-stripe, the color switches to a light blue to make it stand out, but when the selected message is a green-stripe, it remains green and is only outlined in light blue, which makes the selected message difficult to identify.

How can I override the zebra-striping for *any* selected message (white or green stripe), such that the message is always light blue?

I deleted the email messages in the trash folder but the program also deleted all the messages in the inbox. How can I recover the messages that were in the inbox?

Had a gmail account set up with TB that I removed months ago. I just added a new (different) gmail acct., but the calendar shows the info from the previous acct. What's the best way to remedy this without reinstalling TB?

How do I export my address book from TB128 (Windows 10 desktop) to TB for mobile (Android)? So far TB for mobile (just installed) shows only an arbitrary, short selection of addresses from old emails.

Since I migrated from ESR Channel to Release channel, the main Archive folder doesn't include all the subfolders. Later, I can manually select which folders I want to include in the main folder. For example: I can select only 2025, 2024, and 2023 subfolders to be showed inside the main Archive folders. Now, I can't find this option, and the last messages I can see are from 2023.

You recently started channeling some of my Emails to the Spam category, with wish of assisting me in mind. There are among them, however, some that I wish to receive regularly as legitimate material for me - as was in the past. I am facing the following problem. When I delete an email and it moves to the Trash folder, Thunderbird no longer displays inbox emails. Trash folder is displayed after archives folders. After restarting Thunderbird, it is restored again. I did an inbox folder repair, but it did not help. Then I deleted the Inbox.msf file and waited for the system to recreate it, but that did not help either. I also did compact folders ->general -> Disk space, but that did not help either. If I want to use the program, after each email moved to the trash, I have to restart Thunderbird. Please, I need help with solving this problem.

what is going on either i send an email receive an email an it either goes to inbox with lA BLACK line through it and i have to hit undelete or it goes right to trash not sure i have it configured correctly what going on with thunderbird this is in box now out going next what is happening iam not sure whats going on i need help please

1st I am 90 yrs old. Been using this app since it was created. Never a problem until these new updates.

Was trying to delete old file (like the old program (block and hit delete). Found some message about deleting Trash folder and things I did not and do not understand. I now have LOST all my data, emails, addresses, everything.

I tried deleting the program and downloading a new copy. Did not work.

App Will not let me create an account. It keeps searching forever and have to cancel. App can't find my google password and just locks up. I only have two gmail addresses. I can access them by going to gmail.com but all my folders are not there. I need HELP please.

I can't even update my address file at the gmail site as I have no access to anything from TB. I am a research genealogist and now have lost all my saved research information.

Hello, I have two problems with Thunderbird. First, I need to attach a file from a shortcut but it attaches the shortcut itself, it doesn't open it to choose my file from it. The problem appeared after I migrated from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Second problem, the PDF files in the attachments are listed as blank sheets, I should mention that I use a Xerox B8155 printer. The problem occurs on the same computer. Many thanks!

Sometime last week, my snap thunderbird package updated to version 128.9.1esr. After that update, clicking on the Thunderbird icon in the dock starts thunderbird under a generic icon that appears on the right side of the dock (showing the dot indicator under it), rather than showing the thunderbird icon with the running indicator under it.

I am using X11, fully updated Ubuntu 24.04.2, with Thunderbird installed as a snap. Work correctly until last week. If I start the application manually from the command line, same generic icon appears. (If I start firefox snap from the command line, the firefox icon shows the "running" indicator under it as it is supposed to.

Note: Thunderbird IS running and running fine - I have not found any other issues, just this potential regression.

Anyone have any ideas? I thought I would post here before filing a bugzilla bug report. I was not able to find any mention of this (or a similar) problem in the last year.

Dear Team After Updating from 102.15.1 (32Bit) to 115.28.0 (32Bit) I can not connect to the provider "pop.hispeed.ch" anymore. Ping pop.hispeed.ch (on CMD) shows normal raction of beeing reachable with a "reply from xxxx.". I am on Windows 7 SP1. I have checked several times all setting POP and SMTP, switched off Firewall, uninstalled virus scanner, and and and many more (all knowledge found on internet..). Pressing the "Get Message" button in the upper menue bar shows no raction when pressed. The icon "Get Message" on the left side of the button "+ New Message" results in a none moving blue status bar at the right bottom of the window. After a while with the message "timed out.. ".In the settings "Config Editor.." the values of "mailnews.tcptimeout" are set to "300", and "true". I am using TB since donkey years with many many eMails. Are the lost?
