You can best set this via Windows > Settings > Apps > Default apps

You can then also set Firefox as default via Firefox > Settings > Home and startup

Hi! To make Firefox your default browser on Windows:

1. Open Firefox. 2. Click the ☰ menu → Settings. 3. Under General, look for Default Browser. 4. Click Make Default.

If Windows 11 opens its default-app settings instead, select Firefox and choose it as the default for the relevant web links and file types, such as HTTP, HTTPS, .htm, and .html.

You can also go directly to Windows Settings → Apps → Default apps → Firefox and select Firefox as the default browser.
