When typing on a document or letter, Thunderbird frequently hangs and won't do anything.

For two days I'm having intermittent "hanging" when I'm typing a document or letter in Thunderbird. It has just dont that for the 2nd time in less than 10 minutes. Don't know what's happening but it's very frustrating. Am not having any other computer problems. Am running Windows 11 which is automatically updated by Windows. I think Thunderbird is the most current version too. Help please anyone! It does say "(Not Responding) at the very top of the page.

See if this helps:

- go to TB menu > Settings > General

- scroll all the way down and click the 'Config editor' button on the right
- click 'Accept the risk and continue' if that appears
- search for accessibility.force_disabled > change the value to 1 > click the check mark
- restart TB

Thanks Ed! Took a bit to get me there. I know my programs usually but not that familiar with the settings of TB. I got that done, restarted and will see how things go. I'll keep this email so that after a few days of no problems I can let you know that you solved my problem. Either way, I really appreciate your help!
