My Apple MacBook Air is 10 years old but it does all I need. I'm 80 years old and marginally functional with computers I'm getting a bar that says I need to update my browser. I want to continue using Firefox like I have been for years. I've been trying to update in every way I can see to try but no success. Can anyone help me?

You did not say what your macOS version is however the UserAgent you used to post this thread is Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0

So if you indeed have macOS 10.10 then you may already have the most current you can run which is Firefox 78.15.0esr for macOS 10.9, 10.10,10.11 users.

Firefox 79.0 to Firefox 115 ESR requires macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 at minimum to run. Firefox 116.0 and later requires macOS 10.15 or later to run.

However if your hardware allows you to update to macOS 10.12 then you can use Firefox 115 ESR which is currently being supported with updates until Fx 115.21.0esr in March 2025 unless Mozilla extends updates again.
