This is currently not possible. if it is important for you to selectively close tabs while still having a private browsing environment, I would recommend you to use the standard Firefox for mobile

Hello solkaz,

You can close the tabs by pressing the trash bin icon on the bottom right or by tapping the "erase browsing history" notification on android and by tapping on the trashbin on the top right on IOS

To be clear: I'd like to be able to delete a single tab when I have multiple tabs open
