How do I print out an alphabetized HTML file of my bookmarks?
I followed the help file instruction "Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks" and that says to go to the Library dialog box but the dialog box is not an available choice. Dead end. Do I need the Library dialog box so I can print out an alphabetized HTML file of my bookmarks? Or is there another way? Thank you in advance for your reply.

If using the the Star with a Pan under it (Show your Bookmarks) Click on Show all Bookmarks --> Views
Or if using the Menu Bar --> Bookmarks--> Show All Bookmarks --> Views
Views Will have options to organize the bookmarks in 15 ways including Alpha, both forward and backwards.
Export your Bookmarks as HTML to the Desktop Drag the File into Firefox and then Print

i just tried it after reading this, i had no problem so no you dont need the library to accomplish this but my bookmarks change all the time, idont want to do that every time. after it finished i saved it to a file i assume you will do the same thing?
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately that doesn't answer my question: How do I print out an alphabetized HTML file of my bookmarks? What is the step-by-step process to do so? I'm not a newbie but I'm not knowledgeable of procedures for Firefox so I would appreciate a specific reply. :) Thanks.

Thanks for your help. You answered my question.
Note that the Views menu in the Library is only for viewing purposes and nothing is actually changed. This is similar to click a column in the header bar to sort by this column. There is "Sort By Name" in the right-click context menu of a folder to sort this folder by name.
A possibility is to type a common character like a colon in the search bar in the Library to get a list of all the bookmarks. You can do a Copy/Paste in an HTML capable editor to get a sorted list. A paste in a normal plain text editor only gives the URL and not the title.
