Delete Firefox downloaded 3.6. My add-in Permatab will not work with it

Firefox downloaded 3.6 without my permission. I want to go back to a prior Firefox version because my favorite add-in, Permatab Mod will not work for 3.6. How can I delete 3.6 and re install an earlier version?

The PermaTabs Mod add-on should work with Firefox 3.6, make sure you have the latest version available from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/7816/
