Why does Firefox keep losing internet connection on my Mac when the Chrome browser is working fine?
This is the second day my Firefox browser has periodically dropped connectivity on my Mac. When I switch to Chrome, it connects fine, so it's clearly the browser, not my WiFi. I updated my Mac to the latest software. I tried changing proxy settings and deleting cookies, but nothing has helped.

If you change the "DNS over HTTPS" settings to anything else (off, on, different provider) or connect using the built–in VPN if you have the feature available, is there any change?
Is this on macOS 27 Golden Gate?
It is on DNS over HTTPS, I just updated to Golden Gate version 27. I have tried deleting the browser and reinstalling it, emptying my cache, and changing the proxy settings based on Firefox recommendations. None of those changes have done anything to help.
And disabling DNS over HTTPS or setting the provider to someone else? Or using the built–in VPN?
I tried disabling DNS over HTTPS, but when that didn't help, I turned it back on. I'm not using the Firefox VPN. I have it set to the default setting which is "DNS over HTTPS is using the provider Cloudflare" Thank you for the responses!
