Popups in Firefox

I have periodically popups with Firefox. 

I tried to block popups with the following procedure :
   click on "parametres"
   in the left of the window, click on  "vie privée et sécurité"
   look for "permissions" 
   ask for blocking  popups

After all this, I still have popups. What should I do ? Thanks in advance Francis Prusker

Are these popups that are opening in new tabs or new Firefox windows? https://support.mozilla.org/kb/pop-blocker-settings-exceptions-troubleshooting

Or are these small popups on the bottom right corner of Firefox windows. If so then these may just be web push notifications from sites you have allowed to send you notifications. Instead of useful information, some may send you junk, spam, fake virus/trojan alerts.
