Using Private Browsing mode does not stop websites from saving cookies. In fact, cookies are required on many websites, especially those that require you to log in.

The difference with Private Browsing mode compared to regular mode is that cookies saved in Private Browsing mode will be deleted once you close Private Browsing mode. Additionally, any cookies that were saved in regular mode will not be accessible in Private Browsing mode and vice versa.
