I reviewed my "saved passwords" and see that one 8 character password has been replaced with a string of about 10,000 characters! I edit out and type in/save new password. I log in to website with new password, click update to new password, and enter site just fine. When I go to the settings of website and type in new password all is normal. I exit Firefox, restart and try to log into website and no good. I check saved passwords and the 10,000 character password is back. My problem exhibits with only ONE website so far: < https://login.dpreview.com/ap/signin? > . I have tried minimizing security settings, clear cache/history/etc... It started happening with version 88.0.1 (64bit). Website works fine with Edge & Chrome, but...... Hopefully it disappears in the next version update. One website, maybe it's the website? It's simply a mild inconvenience at this point.

Hi!

Do you use any add-ons? If so then which?

Some websites use JavaScript to modify the password field and possibly copy the password to another hidden field. If Firefox detects that the password has been modified the Firefox will offer to update the password. You can create a login block exception for this website (origin) with the proper protocol (usually https://) via Options/Preferences to prevent Firefox from updating the correctly saved password. If necessary you can edit the currently stored password on the Lockwise page if you updated this password and is not the correct password.
