Why are my bookmark folders duplicated. When I delete files from one folder the disappear from the duplicated folders

Since adding Firefox to my Android smartphone and syncing it with my laptop and desktop I've had problems with bookmark folders being triplicated on my desktop (but not my laptop or android. These folders are somehow mirrors of each other because when I delete bookmarks in the first folder, eg. Bookmarks Toolbar, they disappear from the second and third Bookmarks Toolbar folders and the toolbar is empty.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
