when i try to minimize the window or x out of it it won't respond, but when i go to the windows toolbar and click on the firefox icon to minimize it, then full size it again, it works. Sometimes the bookmarks menu won't show up

Does this happen every time you use Firefox, or just on some web sites? Have you tried restarting your computer to see if it was just a temporary issue?

If you have already tried that, another thing to try is Firefox Reset: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems

everytime, restarting doesn't help, have tried to reset too

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
