I am upset because my bookmarks were all lost when I upgraded a few months ago and I can't find a way to recover them.

I had a lot of valuable bookmarks and then when I upgraded recently, they all disappeared. I read the directions about how to find them, but it didn't work. My son told me just to never upgrade and that's what I'm going to do in the future. It's very upsetting to upgrade and have things just disappear.

Never upgrading is never a good idea as this would possibly leave you at risk. I'm not sure what directions you read but please take a look at this support article Recover lost or missing Bookmarks .

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
