I just got this problem recently. i wanted to log in my school website. After i type the username, then go on to password field, the input/language text on my menu bar suddenly changed to Vietnamese. I tried to change back to English but the option is grayed out and not clickable.

Also related, I was trying to access my router setting by having the browser point to 192.168.1.1 then it asked for user name and password. But no matter how many times i tried, it wouldn't log in and i'm sure i put in the right user name and password. It only works if i do it on chrome. Please help. Thank you FF4.0.1 Mac OS 10.6.7

I had this problem starting in Firefox 4, and then it went away until just now. I have been using Firefox 5 for about a week, and I was able to type passwords just fine for that period.

I noticed that this was my first time rebooting after updating OSX to 10.6.8. The languages that are available to me are Colemak and French, but not U.S (English), Hiragana, Katakana, and Greek Polytonic
