Why are logon/password credentials failing to load?
It is forgetting to "Remember Me." and failing to load logon/password credentials for websites that are already saved. Did not have this issue while using Firefox 3.6.x and it doesn't happen with all sites.

First make sure this feature is disabled http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Private%20Browsing#w_how-do-i-always-start-firefox-in-private-browsing Uncheck it. Then post back.
It is/was not checked.
"Remember search and form history," "Accept cookies from sites" and "Accept third-party cookies [Keep until: they expire]" are all checked.
- Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
- Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
