I have just upgraded to FF4 and now whenever FF is running the desktop icons flash, icons all function. I have disabled themes and extensions. I am running XPpro + all updates, 3Gb Ram, P4D 3.0Ghz, ATI HD 5450 (latest drivers)

OK, I got the desktop top to stop flashing it's icons by disabling Hardware Accelleration ( Tools, Options, Advanced, General, remove appropiate tick mark and restart FF). but I have to say that the upgrade process is far from ideal with add ons not working/requiring upgrades. At the moment I won't be recommending that all my users upgrade by default. And where has the status bar gone?
