Login to account keeps failing
Hi, I keep getting a login to account failure error message. It reads "Login to account "xxx@xxx" failed. Login to server mail.xxx with username xxx@xxx failed." This issue is occurring on an iMac. The same login credentials work on my Thunderbird Macbook Air. The support at Siteground were unable to resolve the issue, except to say, after a successful test at their end, that the problem must be with Thunderbird. The version I'm using is 152.0 (aarch 64). I've tried a quit and re-install more than once. Can you help?

Problem fixed: changed the PW! Doh! Talk about the bleeding obvious. Anyway, thanks anybody and everybody for taking a look. Have a good day.

You appear to be using a hosted domain, and you say you have a working version of the same thing on Thunderbird on another computer, That really leaves only non Thunderbird issues as you asert the settings used are exactly the same. These days I find most new computers come with a load us useless security software, often as trial versions. my guess is you have something installed on your new device that is not installed on your old or is configured differently. Most likely to be an antivirus product as those tend to be De jure for Business use.
The email provider and web host is Siteground, as mentioned. This is only one email address that is affected. The others on the installation, an older computer, an iMac M1, function correctly. The address had been working well until this issue cropped up recently. There are two other addresses using the same URL, which work OK. The issue arose when I introduced those two new addresses. Siteground said my problem address was correctlt condigured. The other computer where the address works is a new one. I'm using Norton 360.
