Confused about Sync
Can I sync my information across accounts and not devices?
I was surprised when I set up a separate Firefox account for work on my personal computer and my personal browsing history was synced to that account. I deleted it as I don’t want any of my personal stuff linked to an account I’m going to use for work.
So my question is, is it possible to create an account and just store browsing data on that account? Rather than the account pulling data from my device?

You may also need to use different profile and different Firefox Accounts if you don't want them to be mixed. You can learn more about Firefox profile in the following article -> Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
