I recently installed Firefox Beta version 35.0 on my smartphone running Android 4.3 JLS36Ç. The problem is that I cannot send attachments in gmail because I can't see the attach file icon on the 'compose' page. But I don't have this problem if I use gmail via Dolphin or Chrome.

Anyone have a solution? Anyone else facing this same problem with gmail using Firefox Beta 35.0 with Android OS 4.3?

Thanks for any help; I really prefer using Firefox Beta.

Thanks for reprting! There are several issues with GMail in Firefox for Android:

(1) GMail shows the simple version instead of the touch version (2) When forced into the touch version (using Phony add-on set to "Android") the layout is really broken, icons are busted, which makes the page unusable.
There is a bug already in Bugzilla database which is Bug 668275 - GMail sends a lowfi version to Firefox for Android to Firefox OS.

Thanks, Swarnava for your contribution .... I wish the techies at Mozilla can find a fix for this that is simple for the user to handle. I wonder if the problem is only peculiar to Firefox Beta or to other (earlier) versions of FF.

Cheers and have a nice day.

This may have been https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1111325 if it had been working previously. It is fixed in the current beta.

Thanks for the time , effort and attention; however it still doesn't work for me. Despite uninstalling and then again installing version 35 of firefox beta for android, the attach clip icon does not show up in the gmail compose window.

Any other/further info/advice would be welcome ... i'd hate to have to give up on firefox beta on my smartphone.

All the best to all of us for 2015.
