For some weeks I have ad an issue with Firefox using 50%-100% of CPU. Normally it is the Firefox process itself, sometimes it is also "Privileged Cont".

OS is Kubuntu 24.04. Firefox has done this across 2-3 versions.

Things I have tried:

Restarting Firefox No change, I'll even get 100% cpu usage with no tabs open

Refresh Firefox to remove settings and addons No change

Uninstall Snap and try direct Apt package No change

Remove ~/.mozilla to fully remove any residual settings/cache/etc No change

Try with and without hardware acceleration See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1308215 No change!

I would blame my old computer hardware, but Brave runs fine. I am now using Brave, but would dearly like to return to Firefox as I miss containers, and I don't support a chromium dominated web.

I'm using the "Port Authority" extension on my windows PC, it is looking very good. I was hoping to add it to my Android Firefox but cannot find it, is it available for Android?

The other day I discovered all my extensions have been disabled. I have an old Mac and am not able to upgrade to a newer version of Firefox. Is Mozilla going to offer a solution for people like me who find their preferred browser to now be frustrating and inefficient? I would love to restore my add-ons. Thank you.

When loading webpages, it will often take 60-90 seconds to load the page. I've only seen this happen when loading the page for the first time, once it loads navigating through subpages is seamless. It doesn't seem to be tied to any particular domain, I've had it happen randomly on gaming websites, tech websites, even google searches. The most notable coincidence is that in the networking tab of the developer console, it always(?) takes almost exactly 30 seconds on DNS resolution, 30 seconds on Connecting, sometimes a 30s Blocking element, and then the remainder is near instantaneous; screenshot attached. My network is fine, I'm able to play low-latency games without issue, and Chrome is not exhibiting the same behaviour.

Things I've tried to resolve:

• Restarting computer -- issue has been persisting for months
• Created a new Firefox profile -- still showing the same behaviour
• Disabling all addons/testing Troubleshoot Mode
• Proxy settings in Firefox -- No Proxy and System proxy settings are both showing the behaviour
• Disabling DNS over HTTPS

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have an empty space on the toolbar between the "New Tab" button and the "Minimize Window" button in Firefox. Is there a way to remove or reduce this space to make better use of the available space? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Why there is no animation or blur animation while opening the url bar? also the choice of zen modes having animation are not fulfilling the thing. so pls add this.

I’m facing an issue when printing barcode wristbands using Firefox. The barcodes sometimes appear distorted or don’t scan properly. This works fine in other browsers.

Has anyone experienced similar printing issues with barcode wristbands in Firefox? Any solutions?
