Love Firefox by the way... So, autocomplete in the search bar is often helpful, don't get me wrong, but it redefines the delete/backspace key to be context-sensitive. Now, sometimes it does what I expect and backs up one, erasing the character I just typed. However when autocomplete ghost text is present, that same key removes the ghost text only, leaving the character I'm intending to remove. This is enormously inconvenient as I now must watch to see what autocomplete is doing and adjust my behavior to comply. Were I designing I would not make the delete key dual purpose context sensitive, instead I would do both at the same time! Delete what I just typed and remove the ghost text. Safari started this, I complained and of course got no response. Subsequently I noticed the same behavior in Firefox. My suggestion, request, is that search delete key behavior not be decided for me. Either make this Safari behavior a settings option, by default is OK, so that I can choose, or (my preference) delete both ghost and previous character with a single keystroke! Both Mozilla products spontaneusly disappeared from my computer. Firefox requested a reinstall, and all was recovered. Firefox completely disappeared, and I had to restore from backups. I am seriously worried. What is going on?

This browser keeps doing this very annoying thing where it automatically pins recently visited commerce sites in a suggestions bar of a new tab's url. If I go delete the specific pinned page from my history, it will just grab a new page from the same website and pit that instead. For example, I recently visited chewy.com to purchase dog food. A page from Chewy became pinned in the dropdown for new tab urls. I deleted that page from my history. A different page from Chewy became pinned. This went on and on until I deleted *every single Chewy.com page from my history.* This is unwanted and frustrating behavior. Who does this help? I did my business on that website. I do not want to be told to go back and visit the site that wants my money. I know how to browse the internet. This is extremely annoying.

I use Firefox as my browser and have used Yahoo as my home page and browser for decades. Starting a few days ago, every time I type in the Yahoo search bar I get a Google search page result. I opened Bing and tried to search on their page and got the same result - Google. This is driving me crazy. I want my old Yahoo search back. I am at a loss as to how to fix this. I have looked at the Firefox settings and, of course, Yahoo is no longer listed. A shame. I don't know what to do at this point. Maybe the answer is to get rid of Firefox, but it has worked well for me for a long time. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Ever since the last update of the Firefox program, I am frequently getting the "Server Not Found" message when I click on links online. If I switch browsers, the links work just fine so it is obviously Mozilla's problem and not anything with my "modem or router" as I am told int he "what can you do about it" message on this error. Mozilla needs to look into this problem and update whatever is causing the failure to link message.

I have always used Firefox. Today - some update has erased all my bookmarks. it says import from Edge - but I don't use that. I lost my job last month so all my bookmarks are so very important and now they are all gone. OMG

I am getting error 'Code: RCPTA:2' when trying to log into the Detroit Free Press (freep.com). I had never had this problem before but just performed a Firefox update and now have this error. It's like the Firefox update changed a setting related to Javascripts.

Signing into Netflix it only requires my email address. Then it gives me a message that captcha is required, then gives me an error message, then puts me through to my account. Anyone in the world using your browser and my email address can access my account.

Good day. For the last week or so, I've not been able to access my banking website login page. I've tried in Chrome, it works, but I prefer not to use that browser. I can get to the primary website, but when I choose the log in page, I just get a blank page. I've not had this issue before and I've been using Firefox and the same bank for years. Do you have any suggestions as to how I fix this?

When changing tags in Microsoft 365 Term Store, the changes are not showing on the respective Sharepoint sites and lists when displayed in Firefox. The tags still show the old values. Refreshing the page and deleting the cache does not solve the issue. Only uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox resolves the issue. The problem does not occur in Microsoft Edge.

With the profile system, which I just used to try and fix another problem. Deleting them doesn't work I've tried manually deleting the profiles as well but they still show up in the UI and it just recreates the folder again if you try to delete it or open it. If you use the UI to try and delete it the instance and page it opens is simply blank. And now the profile I'm trying to delete isn't open. I'm trying to delete it from "original profile" and when I do it opens the a new instance of firefox with the profile I'm trying to delete with in the address bar: about:deleteprofile but the screen is empty.

I want to keep the original profile but the process is confusing to me. Can you tell me a simple way to keep the original profile or else set the original for me.

Since a recent update, I can no longer drag and drop files from the Firefox downloads panel directly into Outlook Web (webmail) as an email attachment. This used to work fine before.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Download a file (e.g. a PDF) 2. Open the downloads panel (the arrow icon in the toolbar) 3. Try to drag the file from the panel into the attachment area of a new email in Outlook Web 4. The file does not get attached — nothing happens

Expected behavior: the file should be attached to the email, as it was before.

Workaround: I have to open the downloads folder via the folder icon in the panel, then drag from Windows Explorer instead.

Firefox version: 150.0.2 (64-bit) OS: Windows Webmail: Outlook Web (outlook.office.com or outlook.com)

This is a regression, it worked in previous versions. Is there a fix planned?

I received an email that said my account would be closed in 7 days unless I signed in.

I leave my Mozilla tabs permanently open and use them every day. I tried to sign in as instructed and got an "unknown error" about 3 times. Then I was sent to a page talking about Windows 10. I have the extension; that's not a problem for me.

Closing Mozilla and possibly losing all those open tabs would be a BIG problem. Evidently I'm signed in now. I hope everything is OK with my Mozilla account.

I would like to suggest two changes to Firefox’s default address bar behavior that would improve transparency, usability, and user trust.

1. Show Full URL Addresses by Default

  Currently, Firefox hides parts of the URL such as “https://” and sometimes simplifies the displayed address. I believe Firefox should display the complete URL at all times by default, including:

• Protocol (`https://`)
• Full subdomains (`www`, `m`, etc.)
• Complete path when relevant

Displaying the full address helps users:

• Better verify website authenticity
• Detect phishing or deceptive domains more easily
• Understand exactly where they are navigating
• Maintain consistency with technical and professional workflows

2. Disable “Show Search Terms in the Address Bar on Results Pages” by Default

  The feature that replaces the actual search engine URL with the search query text can be confusing and reduces transparency. Many users expect the address bar to show the real URL of the page they are visiting.

I recommend disabling this feature by default because:

• It hides useful navigational information
• It makes copying/searching URLs less predictable
• It can create ambiguity about the actual site/page being viewed
• Advanced and privacy-conscious users generally prefer seeing the real URL

Users who prefer the simplified search-term display could still enable it manually in settings.

Firefox has traditionally been a browser focused on user control, openness, and transparency. These changes would align well with those principles.

I have two desktop computers. both were fine. Now when I try to access a site i have gone to innumerable times it says "Blocked access". I can still get to the site on the other computer, but it is annoying to have to hop back & forth. I looked at the settings page, but I have no idea what I need to change to regain access.

I need to stop google from automatically searching in the address bar so I can use about.config.

No help has worked from the web. Commands suggested by users don't exist or they use circular logic. In other words I can't go to about.config and make changes because I can't get to about.config because google searches it. I have turned off everything and nothing gets rid of the google search. I can go to other searches but that doesn't help.

I'm using a HTML file as a hypertext that catalogues a hard drive or folder. I want the file names to be clickable--to open the file, but but the file:/// href is blocked. What is the work around. All of this is local
