The entire print function is not working. Thunderbird cannot "see" any of my printers, including pdf printer. It does not give any error message. Also the Print-Preview function does not work, it gives error message "an error occurred while printing". Firefox and all other applications printing okay. Thunderbird version 24.3.0. Operating under Windows 7 and 8

Is the problem under windows 7 or 8?

I can print preview and print in Windows 7

I'm using Windows 8, but can switch to Windows 7. The fault occurs in both cases.

This is most certainly a Try.

Open the config editor see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/config-editor reset the value of printer.print by typing as much of the entry as is needed to make it show in the list and then right clicking and selecting reset

I dont have a printer.print file. There are many print.print files, all of which are set to DEFAULT setting. Others have mentioned a print.print_printer file but I dont have one of those either ! Thanks for your ongoing attention.

has a chap with print issues yesterday, reinstalling the printer fixed it for him.
