Already tried this also: 0. No SIM card. 1. Open the dialer app. 2. Dial *#06#

it showed "To make a call, the phone must be connected to a network" instead of displaying IMEI

it is not during a call actually. without doing nothing previously, open the dial app and dial to *888#
