When I tried to download a file from the pirate bay I get the following message: Firefox can't find the file at magnet:?xt=urn:btih:2d9adad7505d73c3cebef8104f3c03e77020fe8c&dn=HOWARD+STERN+-+CF128K+-+10-01-13+++WRAP+UP+[WDM]&tr=udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80&tr=udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80&tr=udp://tracker.istole.it:6969&tr=udp://tracker.ccc.de:80&tr=udp://open.demonii.com:1337.

I have no problems downloading from IE8 and until 9/30/13 never had this problem with Firefox.

I think its the problem with the magnetic link, have you tried any other links.

You have to make sure you have Bittorrent (or another torrent program) in order to download torrents from the pirate bay. I had the same issue when using a new laptop on which I didn't have bittorrent. After installing bittorrent it was solved!

There are other things that may need your attention.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs on each start of Firefox.

The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there. you can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.
