Calendar (Thunderbird 152 on Windows 11) keeps asking authentication to gmail ( oauth ) at startup

I just upgraded from thunderbird 140 to 152 on Windows 11. I have master password setup.

Every times I start thunderbird, calendar keeps asking for authentication ( oauth ) , I did login successfully and was able to view and modify my events.

After a couple of startup I decided to click on the close button of the oauth authentication windows for calendar. I still able to see and modify my calendar successfully. Is it a bug or I miss something in the calendar settings  ?

Thanks

Switching to CalDAV fixed it for another user with the same problem. Since you're using tasks I suppose this isn't an option. So the only thing I can suggest is to check with the author of the add-on.

Add on 'Provider for Google Calendar' is definitely the problem. I disable it for testing purpose and the problem did go away. I will notify the author.

For now all I have to do is close the 'Authentication window' without enter password, still it's a bit anoying.

Thanks for your help

Are you using the the 'Provider for Google Calendar' add-on? If so, is the authentication pop-up from the add-on?

Unless you really need tasks for your calendar, you could also use CalDAV to connect to your Google Calendar. In that case no add-on is needed.

Yes I use the 'Provider for Google Calendar' add-on, yes the authentication pop-up from the add-on and yes I do use tasks in my calendar.

I've had the same problem since this morning. I'm on version 152, but I think I've had this version for one or two days (not sure) without encountering the problem before. I also use 'Provider for Google Calendar'.
