I can't save an image with an asterisk in the filename when saving from my Firefox browser. I used to be able to, but now any asterisk I add to the filename just vanishes like I didn't type it at all. I can change the file name in other ways, like adding words. I can still save from Chrome, so it's a Firefox issue, and a recent update. Help!!!

It would be helpful if show what you're doing so that we can try to replicate the issue.

Firefox might be sanitizing the filename and remove some characters that are considered invalid. An asterisk in a filename can be seen as a wildcard in some cases.

I just tried to save opensuse*.jpg and it wouldn't work. Let me see what happens in linux.
