Keepass2Android no longer working with recent versions of Firefox for Android

I use the Keepass2Android password manager on my Samsung S9+ smartphone. For some time now (6 months perhaps) the pop up window from Keepass2Android for filling in usernames and password fails to appear. Sometimes it appears briefly and then disappears. I have contacted the Keepass2Android developers and they say it is a problem with recent versions of Firefox for Android. Keepass2Android does work OK with other Android browsers (like Chrome, Edge, & Samsung internet browsers).

Are there any suggestions or solutions?
