Firefox Home page "Top Sites" require double click after recent update

My default home page is the Firefox homepage, and I've been extremely happy with its functionality. but the recent update came with this glitch where sometimes, especially when I start Firefox, I would click on a top website button, but nothing will happen, then I'll notice this after few seconds of waiting that nothing happened. I used the system safe mode, but the same issue occurred, so have anyone faced the same issue, or is it something to do with my setup?

Thanks
