Hi,

First, sorry for my english, hope it's understandable.

i'm on windows 10. I've done a system update recently (version 1909). Since i've done this update, every time i restart / reboot my computer, thunderbird does not wan't to startup. After a few searches, i found the information about the parent.lock file, i've tried to delete it after closing thunderbird process, and thunderbird starts normally.

Ok.. But every time i boot, i have to do this ?? Annoying task.. I'm using thunderbird for more than 10 years, i don't wan't to change my mail client.. But it's really weird and it seems it's a known problem.. So why is this happenning ? Is there a way to permanently fix it ?

Thanks

It seems there is some process that runs at startup to reset TB settings. Do you have an app like CCleaner acting on TB? Does it happen if you start Windows in safe mode, thereby bypassing startup apps?
