Cannot install Adblock

It says on my Add-on Manager that my Adblock Plus cannot be verified and whenever I tried to reinstall it or get a new Adblock extension it says that either the connection failed (connection is working fine) or that the add-on downloaded appears to be corrupted. Already tried xpinstall and reinstalling Mozilla and none of them worked. Also I do not understand any computer technical know how so please simplify answer as best as you can.

I don't think forum volunteers yet know the cause or remedy for this problem. However, know that dozens of people are reporting the same thing in recent hours, so it may be due to a rolling update gone wrong.
