Firefox 48.0.2 is the current Release yes as you can see at https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Firefox 49.0 Release is scheduled for next Tuesday Sept 13 however it may be a delayed.

The portableapps has been trustworthy with these portable Firefox builds since the first build was based on Firefox 0.8 Release.
