jpg inserted in Email changes to another pic when saving work?
When I insert an image in the text of an Email, many times Thunderbird has changed the image to one used in a previous Email all by itself. Today I replied to company with their logo in the original and my reply changed the logo to a picture used in another Email. Why does this happen? If I don't catch the error and send an Email, the Email makes no sense!

I remember something, just what exactly escapes me for the moment, but I think it has something to do with auto compacting.
compact the folder. ALL of them from the File menu.
Then from the options menu > Advanced > Network and Disk space disable the automatic compact and see how that goes.

I posted as solved but it has only been a day but I made several changes to an Email with pics today and Thunderbird did not change my pictures. The first time it happened to me, I thought that I screwed something up. If my problem returns I will post another cry for help. Thanks, Rick
I responded too soon. Still a problem. Wrote a rather long Email with a number of inserted .jpg graphics. Checked the Email then I sent it with one copy to myself. FOUR of the jpg files were changed to earlier jpg files that I had used in earlier emails AND IT HAPPENED WHEN I SENT THE EMAIL. What I sent made no sense. I don't need help to look stoo-ped, I can look stew-pid all by myself. I will find a fix for this quickly or GOODBYE THUNDERBIRD! Too frustrating and time wasting!
