can't connect to my router, through its IP address
I cannot access my system routers using their IP address', I keep getting a security error and when I make the suggested updates in the options they still don't work.

What is the wording of the error message you get? For example, if Firefox objects to the SSL certificate of the router, could you copy/paste the "Technical Details" section of the page?
What router do you have?

Check with your ISP. It's address may have changed.
Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;
Installed Plug-ins
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.15
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.12
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

You never accessed a router with a IP address? to change settings as that is what the OP is having issues with.

Hmm thread was bumped when kacmowt quoted cor-el's post.
My modem is http://192.168.1.254/
From you comments and IP used it sounds like you have a combo modem/router for a dsl or adsl service.
For cable internet connection you have a modem (like say from Motorola) with just one ethernet out and then the user usually provides his/her own router or switch that is wired only or a router that has wifi also so to connect multiple wired and or wireless devices. The ISP usually has no involvement with the router/switch in this case.
Some of the older routers/witches unfortunately uses the SSLv3 for example which can explain the issue eebushman is having.

It sounds like the security cert on the router may be old or using an old cypher firefox no longer supports. Can you give the exact error you see?
Also, try to update your router's firmware (use another browser if need be)
