I can't open Thunderbird. I've tried opening it in safe mode by holding down shift key when trying to open it but it still won't open. When I click on the icon, it lights up on the task bar like it's trying to open, but then it just fades away again. I've got Windows 8

does it do that without trying to get into safe mode?
