All of a sudden Thunderbird is different with no explanation and nothing works.
I opened my email today and it opens to a strange page with a lot of options instead of just opening to my inbox. I try clicking on "read mail" or "inbox" and nothing happens. The little circle just spins and spins. What in the world is going on? If you changed the look of it, a little forewarning and instruction would have been helpful. and if it's not working, please put it back until you get the change figured out.
If I'm the only one with this problem, then what in the world is happening and how do I get it back to normal?
Thanks.

Today Thunderbird is back to normal, I think. It looks the same as it used to now - although it seems to be really slow getting my messages downloaded. No idea what that was all about. Thank you for your help, though. I'll be back if it happens again - and will try to send a screen shot with it next time. :-)

Today Thunderbird is back to normal except it doesn't seem to be downloading my messages from my gmail account the way I have it set up to do. Will give it some time and see if it clears up.
So while Thunderbird looks the same, it has not downloaded a message in 2 days. I went into my gmail account at gmail and had a bunch of messages in there from the last 2 days but none of them had been brought in by Thunderbird. :-( I have no idea how to deal with this. :-(
