just downloaded Firefox under android 5.0.2, but it won't load webpages when my VPN is active (whether through the VPN program, or through android's VPN settings) - is there a fix for this?

I lollipop you have to enable it for specific apps: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/.../lollipop-feature-spotlight-vpn-clients-can-now-limit-access-to-select-apps-leaving-others-to-connect-to-the-internet-directly/
