I used the feature "view folders unread" messages. Then I turned it off with View Folders All. But now Thunderbird does not show ANY messages in my folder. It has messages though. I can use QuickFilter to see messages from my contacts or with attachments. But I don't see messages that don't fit one of the QuickFilter's criteria. And I never see NEW messages that come into my inbox unless it is from one of my existing contacts. I checked the msgFilterRules.dat files and nothing had changed in them. This is only happening on one folder -- the one folder that had an unread message at the time I viewed those using the menu bar item "View Folders Unread".

How do I get Thunderbird to show me all my messages in my folder? I've rebooted several times since this has happened. I use OpenSuse.

UPDATE: Still not working. But it does show NEW messages now in that folder. But as soon as I've read that message, it disappears and no messages are shown in the folder. That folder seems to be permanently STUCK on "view folders unread". Is there an editable file somewhere that has the folder name/email address on which folders to view?

I can turn QUICKFILTER on and see my read email messages if they fit a QUICKFILTER criteria. But when I turn it off, the list of emails in that folder is again empty (blank).
