Since updating to Firefox 13 Flash does not work completely

Since updating to Firefox 13 flash partially works but in many instances doesn't completely work. Youtube still works but on many other sites flash elements don't completely load or parts don't work. Flash works perfectly in safe mode but I've tried a complete uninstall and reinstall starting with a clean profile with no addons where flash still demonstrates the same problem.

What was the previous number of flash player? I'll take off the newer one and get a previous one. Why is Mozilla and IE having these problems. try Chrome...That's fine and I think will be on top of the others soon.

How do you downgrade flash? I can't find the older flash version on their website?

Thanks, cor-el that worked!

I have done the same thing along with the other suggestions on this page--to no avail. I am ready to uninstall Firefox completely and use Google or IE. This is extremely frustration--to say the least.

I found that disabling the download function in Realplayer fixed it for me. To be honest, I was about to remove Firefox from my system having spent well over an hour trying to find a solution..

The answer is here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071

Adobe has just release an update to Flash that is supposed to fix the crashing issues. You can find the release notes here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/release-note/enduser-release-notes-11_3.html

Anyone interested in trying the fix can get if from the Adobe website. You won't get an auto prompt at this point. If you downgraded to 10.x you won't get the update ever, so please be aware of that.

Make sure you uncheck any other software they might try to bundle with the download if you don't want it on your computer.

Please post back on if this works or not. Any feedback would be helpful!

I tried updating Flash and I still can't see Flash based images as seen in the site below: http://www.firenzejewels.com/diamond-and-rose-cut-18k-white-gold-dangle-earrings_5853.html

Hi chrisny,

This fix is specifically for crashing. Does flash actually crash continually or does it show blank, black, or white? If it not actually crashing you should try removing RealPlayer from your computer to see if it is related to that issue.

Hi Matt - I think you will find the above post is SPAM :(

I SOLVED THIS PROBLEM - here is what was going on: If you use FireFox 12 or 13 to go to Adobe to download the Flash player, for some reason, the 64 BIT version of Flash downloads and that does not work in FireFox.

It does not matter if your machine is 64 bit or not. You MUST download the 32 bit version <<< ONLY that version. The way you do it (Adobe does not help with this) is to use IE-9 to visit Adobe to download the Flash updates. That ensures you get 32 bit version. THAT works just fine in FireFox 13, AND, there are other programs on your PC probably that use the Flash player (other than the browsers) and they are probably ONLY 32 bit compatible as welll... when the Flash player fails it takes a lot of other things with it.)

So, do what is stated above and it works. I spent 3 days tracking down this screw up and finally used IE-9 to go to Adobe and all went just fine from then on. Adobe is reading the browser's info either wrongly, or, it just assumes that 64 bit is what is proper when FireFox is used to access the Adobe site. It is NOT proper and only IE will stop this from happening.

Hmmm - well that might be the case for you, but how do you explain that Flash in Firefox 13.0.1 works fine when the download facility in Realplayer is disabled?

I do not understand anything, 13.0.1 firefox crashing constantly. I received yesterday in the flash player download Adobe Flash Player plugin for firefox and 11.3.300.262 I have another flash player 11.3.300.257. Help me I do not know what to do and I am not specialist in computer science.

I uninstall and reinstall without the problems am resolved, in addition to my pc windows xp each inque me that my virtual memory is not enough.

This is due to flash player when I use firefox.

Try disabling any plugins you have for Firefox and see if it still crashes. If its then OK try enabling them 1 at a time to pinpoint what the problem is..

You can also try removing Firefox an Flash altogether from the control panel, then Check Firefox is working from a clean install before inslalling Flash or any other add-ons, then proceed from there.

You might also wish to remove Realplayer..

However, to me it seems there are other problems with your PC..

Same here. All my video does not display on my site, other sites, etc. Even worse, my adsense ads are all messed up. Everything looks great in chrome. Even IE does a better job.

Before the latest happen, firefox seem to have some other annoying problems. Most time I would uninstall and reinstall to fix it. However that did not work for the latest problems. I think firefox had a fix, but come on, most members who come to your site using firefox will think something is wrong with your site and move on. The once mighty FF is losing it.

Flash Updates 32 bit Vs. 64 bit

Well, we are experiencing weekly updates to browsers, flash, plugins, Windows itself, and various associated software. THEY ARE ALL NOT working together, it seems and come out with buggy software to fix bugs that are buggy, don't fit with other release of other software, and on and on. I have a 64 bit PC and FireFox delivers info to Adobe that Adobe then assumes I want the 64 bit version of Flash when, in fact, I don't.

The reason is that FireFox (at least on my machine) does NOT operate with the 64 bit version of Flash at all. And, I have other, non-browser software, that is 32 Bit and will not operate with 64 bit version of Flash either. So, so far, if you use IE-9 to visit Adobe it will (who knows why) gather up the 32 bit version of Flash and all then works just fine not only for FireFox (which started working with latest version of Flash just fine) but my other software does too.

You think THIS is buggy??? Try using the @font-face Html-5 feature that is no where near being a "beta" test - it is a "delta" test - this is so sorry that the W3C and browser developers all should be, ah, well... do group therapy about "working together to achieve the same goals."

There is not really an explanation to this, but is either a adobe or realnetworks fault, not a firefox problem, but the funny fact is that, even with download enabled chrome deals with it normally ;) Why?

I had already tried your method but it has no effect, in fact by flash applications for real player if I'm not mistaken.

I do not know what to do I tried without any results. I use firefox because it is faster than IE for me and these problems are disabling. Adobe does not even reply to my help messages
