Hallo everybody who wants to help me, A few days ago, YouTube opened a tab in my browser without being asked. How can I stop this? It started with youtube automatically opening the installed app every day. I then uninstalled the app. Since uninstalling it, youtube opens a tab in my firefox every day, which I don't want. All of the shortcuts that Fire Fox created for my oft-used websites stopped working on my iPad. Nothing happens when I select any of them. It may be related to my recent upgrade to iOS 26, but I believe they continued to work for a time after my upgrade.

I can no longer see Shortcuts, Bookmarks or Stories Home page in Private mode. They are displayed in normal mode and they seem to behave as before (I can add or remove individual items in Shortcuts and Bookmarks). Can I fix this myself or is this a bug or a new design choice?

I also have the issue with dark mode permanently enabled documented elsewhere. I am actively thinking of changing to another browser after many years using and financially supporting Mozilla

My ios language is set to English and I have Firefox v147.0 operating. When I load a foreign language page - say El Pais in Spanish - the translation function does not appear! Any suggestions gratefully received TIA - Michael

I'm really hoping this is just a simple case of did you turn it off then on again, but for the longest time Firefox Mobile on iOS has this weird glitch where my old deleted bookmarks still continue to appear auto-filling the remainder of what's being typed in?

Say you type 'hum' in the search bar, the remaining portion gets automatically filled to something like 'humanesociety.com' pops up from the word typed that's related to the deleted bookmark.

What's even more puzzling is that search suggestions has always been disabled on all my devices logged into to my account. So Firefox syncing can't be the culprit either as everything reflects accurately up to date whether on mobile or desktop.

I suspected maybe clearing up everything in Data Management (i.e. cookies, cache, browsing history, etc.) would prove effective, but still no dice.

There's got to be some fix to finally put an end to these bookmarks back from the grave haunting the search bar. Maybe I'm overlooking something?

Firefox for iOS on iPhone 12 mini was dying on first touch after every restart. It was heavily used - as single digital device. I was used to have at least one desktop computer with Linux with all possibilties to archive my data (USB, external hard disk, USB-stick) And I missed heavily the former functions to manage, archiving bookmarks. „Fehlerbehebungsmodus“ Error analyzing seemed not to be available with Firefox for iOS despite existing in other variations - at least Firefox for Windows? Could be something other memory problem - temporary files? Smartphones - iPhones - are to me something like a black box not under my control. Only rescue to get around with bloated Firefox seemed a new installation. After I got a hint I tried to update without success. So no other way - new installation. I registrated for Firefox Sync and hoped to get my bookmarks saved. I have read i wouldn‘t lose any data! So what‘s up? I really would prefer to regularly archive my data. But external drives are impossible with iOS - forbidden. So where are my bookmarks?

Hi, I use Firefox iOS on my iPhone. The only issue I am having is not being able to hide the address bar or whatever it is called located at the bottom of the page when I am playing games on certain websites. After trying everything to be able to make the game a little larger, nothing works. I have tried increasing the view but it makes the games’ frame bigger, however, only the bottom of the game frame shows. But the toolbar always is there and takes up at least one third of the screen.

I am older and have bad eyesight so this would be wonderful if I can hide the toolbar

Desktop browser: no Bookmarks Phone browser: Bookmarks Goal: Sync phone browser Bookmarks to desktop browser Bookmarks. Danger: backup Bookmarks before Sync syncs wrong way and no data wipes data device.

Desktop browser sync prompt is wrong: Menu -> tap Sync and save data -> tap Ready to Scan -> scan desktop Firefox QR code -> Pairing unsuccessful. Try again. OK

Here's the correct steps: Sync your Firefox experience -> tap I already have Firefox for mobile -> tap Continue -> Sync Firefox on your phone or tablet -> open Firefox 144.1 (62735) on phone -> tap Menu (3 dots at bottom) -> tap Settings -> tap Sync Now -> desktop Firefox -> open new Tab -> Bookmarks appear -> right click Import bookmarks from another browser to Firefox -> tap Remove from Toolbar.

Hello, Bookmarks and Sync is still a mess on Firefox and needs the backup protection. Search results say to sync the bookmarks, however my question is about backing up before the sync, as unclear syncs can wipe Bookmarks from device1 when device2 has no data, and incorrectly syncs in the wrong direction. Desktop is easy to just copy paste the bookmarks file, but how to copy/paste a backup on iOS? I might post another question regarding the incorrect Firefox 142.0.1 (aarch64) desktop instructions currently prompting on the browser.

So bookmark syncing doesn’t really sync, correct? That is, bookmarks you create on a mobile device go to Mobile Bookmarks and those created on a computer go to Desktop Bookmarks? Sheesh, what’s the point? That wasted a lot of my time and energy.
