Request for Mozilla VPN Availability in Turkey: Upholding Free Access and Fundamental Rights
Dear Mozilla Team,
As a loyal and long-time user of Firefox and Mozilla products, I am writing to you today with a heartfelt appeal regarding a critical issue facing internet users in Turkey.
While I am glad to see that built-in VPN features have been successfully rolled out in various countries worldwide, it is deeply concerning that this feature is notably unavailable in Turkey. In recent years, Turkey has experienced severe restrictions on freedom of expression, heavy censorship, and increasing limitations on human rights.
In this challenging environment, people—especially the youth and those striving to keep up with global knowledge, science, and civilization—rely heavily on an open and unhindered internet to maintain their connection with the wider world. Unfortunately, authoritarian administrations actively seek to silence these voices and isolate societies.
As a steadfast champion of privacy, security, and an open internet, Mozilla has always stood on the side of users. Turkish users are in dire need of built-in VPN support to bypass these heavy restrictions and reclaim their fundamental digital rights.
I sincerely hope that Mozilla will hear our voices, recognize our urgent need, and take steps to make the built-in VPN available in Turkey as well. Thank you for your dedication to a free and open web for everyone.
Best regards,
Brusky A long-time Firefox user from Turkey

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. When a Mozilla employee jumps into a discussion, you'll see the Mozilla Staff label next to their name.
If you wish, you can leave feedback for developers on the Mozilla Connect website. Click the Firefox Menu
button in the toolbar, click Help and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback is collected by a team that reads it and gathers data on the most common issues.
You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

A note: the built-in VPN in desktop Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/built-in-vpn and the standalone subscription based Mozilla VPN app https://vpn.mozilla.org are two separate things.
Türkiye (Turkey) is officially listed as an available subscription and service country for the standalone Mozilla VPN app. However only for Android and iOS/iPad mobile devices. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-vpn-countries-available-subscribe
