When I open e-mail the mozilla start-up page comes up at compose

What do you use for email?

What do you have set in Options > Applications for mailto?

Can't be Firefox - it needs to be an email client such as Thunderbird or a webmail portal such as Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, or other.
