HELP HELP HELP
OMG someone please help me...I have used Firefox forever as my work browser. I have saved passwords to client accounts for 3rd party sites, etc. It has EVERYTHING. I updated my Mac with the latest software install today and when I opened Firefox it didn't restore my tabs. I got stuck in a loop where it would not update to the current version of Firefox. I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it and LOST EVERYTHING. I AM FREAKING OUT because all my bookmarks are lost and I don't even know what they are - I have tried to restore bookmarks and it goes back to 2022 and 2023 and when I restore nothing happens. ANYONE SOMEONE please tell me you know how to help me find my stuff otherwise I am cooked.

Very sorry to hear about this problem. I'm hoping when you uninstalled Firefox (trashed firefox.app?) that you didn't allow the uninstaller to delete any data.
It's odd that your most recent automatic bookmark backups are from 2023. Could you start with the steps in the following article to see whether your recent data is available in a different profile: Recover user data missing after Firefox update.

I think the issue may be that I never created a profile or signed in - I just used the browser. So not sure that Firefox thinks I have anything to recover? I have now created a profile and am signed in with Firefox but that won't help the old data. I just don't know where it went - why when the browser was updated that it didn't take the old info into the new?
OMG that was so HELPFUL. I found the other profile with all my bookmarks. YOU ARE A GENIUS. Thank you so much. I have been panicked since this happened yesterday.
