security warning re: registristration2.services.openoffice.org Howe can I access my data in open office ?
You have warned me that the open office site is not verified any longer and I can not access the data I need. How can I keep this information and use it as I used to ? I have personal and other important information in the inaccessible files and folders.
I have just fully scanned this computer and there were no problems or alerts. How else can I clean up the machine to make sure it is not compromised ?
Where did the real open office go ? Will all my data be lost ? This non- geeky pensioner needs your help in short words. I am not even sure how to get back the stuff I have saved on the external hard drive.

Are you sure, the source of the problems is in your browser - i.e. in Firefox? To eliminate the possibility of some malware, focussing on your Open Office environment and data, You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
