When using Firefox "waiting for tmpuse.com" comes up in the bottom left hand of the browser window.

I can't answer the reason why tmpuse shows up, but I have the same problem and I have posted a "work around" here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/910734#answer-324788
