"Windows cannot find ... (URL)..." error message
I have created a shortcut on the desktop to go to:
http://www.24hgold.com/english/gold_silver_prices_charts.aspx?money=AUSD&p=argent
When I double click the shortcut the following message is displayed:
Windows cannot find 'http://www.24hgold.com/english/gold_silver_prices_charts.aspx?money=AUSD&p=argent'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.
The problem is that Firefox starts & then successfully goes to the website in spite of the message.
I have discovered that THE MESSAGED IS DISPLAYED only if Firefox is NOT ALREADY RUNNING. If Firefox IS RUNNING the error message is NOT DISPLAYED.
It seems that there might be an issue with the time Firefox takes to startup.
Any other suggestions?
N.B. The problem does not occur with Internet Explorer.

-> Create a desktop shortcut to a website
Check and tell if its working.
Creating the shortcut from Firefox site icon also failed with the message:
Windows cannot find 'http://www.24hgold.com/english/gold_silver_prices_charts.aspx?money=AUSD&p=argent'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.
Delete all previously created shortcuts of this webpage from your Desktop. Now create a new shortcut as mentioned in my previous reply.
Check and tell if its working.
