Firefox is asking me to turn on backup to get ready for Windows 11. I'm not planning to get Windows 11 - should I ignore this message?
When I sign in to Firefox it puts a message up saying Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 10 and telling me to backup my info to get ready for Windows 11. I'm not planning to get Windows 11 as my PC won't support it. Should I ignore this message?

Hi
Yes, you can ignore and close that message if you wish. Windows 10 is an older operating system and you are best advised to plan to update.

Thank you Paul. Unfortunately my current PC, which is not very old, will not support Windows 11, and as a pensioner I'm not sure I can afford the expense or the hassle of getting a new system. It seems that a new system comes out every 3 years or so which makes it difficult for those of us of a certain age to keep up! But at least your advice means I can be confident simply to close the message. Best wishes, Lynne
But still it's nice to have a backup.
I assumed it was specific to Windows 11 - but another contributor has told me I can turn it off with no repercussions.
To be fair, I was referring to the message. Having a backup of your Firefox profile alongside your regular backup of your device is a good idea.
