I don't understand. Donations aren't tied to an email address, but are for the continued development and support for Thunderbird.

IIRC donation accounts are tied to an email address. But the donor team should still be able to help you. Please see https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/donate/help/

I have tried the link you sent, where I can choose different options, including "update my donation email address" but the problem is that I have to give up the email address I registered when I signed up, so they can send me an email for confirmation, and I can't receive this email because the email address no longer exists! I don't see any options in the different topics I can choose!

I have now tried writing to the company responsible for the collection, to see if they can help. Hope that solves the problem. Otherwise, I don't know what options there are, besides rejecting the payments in my bank.
