Addon for Automated Screenshots every X minutes
Hi,
I was looking at basically entire collection of addons with different keywords and it seems like I'm still overlooking something. Everything I found, related to taking the screenshots, is based on manual click within an addon but this is NOT what I'm looking for.
Instead, what I would like to do is to define exact URL link and quantity of minutes. Then, assuming that Firefox is running, the addon I'm asking for would automatically take a screenshot every defined quantity of minutes on that defined URL webpage and save it on hard drive on exact defined folder.
The webpage I'm (mostly) interested for contains dynamic numerical values that are in average changing approximately four times per second. I don't need every second, not even every minute. I would take automated screenshots around 96 times per day which is one screenshot every 15 minutes. But quantity of minutes could be changed by me.
Additional problem is that wanted view of the webpage is where scrolling element is approximately on the middle of webpage content. Having said that, I definitely don't want that screenshots are taken from the top because in this case, on screenshot would be missing important graphical data. Solution could be that, instead of image based screenshot, entire webpage is copied into a PDF screenshot every X minutes and file saved. That would assure me that needed content is saved.
The reason why I'm looking for such tool is because I would like to compare the graphical non-stop 24 hours per day changing numbers. Compare them between two different moments in the past. The website is not saving past values so screenshots are the only solution.
I have already seen several different addons related to screenshots but neither of them is offering everything I mentioned:
- automated taking and saving (downloading) with or without my presence in a form of (usually) browsing other websites - ability to define URL so screenshots are taken automatically from this URL - ability to define frequency (one screenshot per every X defined minutes) - automated saving on hard drive
Could anyone please tell me what should I use for that?

the win10 snipping tool has a delay timer whereas when you click to take the screen shot, window shot, etc., it will delay it by up to 5 seconds so you can engage / activate those dialogs that disappear.
this app works great while using the browsers too.
dbben, thank you for your response. Your suggested tool is not Firefox's addon and as I stated, the screenshots collecting should be automated one. Every X minutes of particular webpage. Either current view (image screenshot) or entire webpage (pdf screenshot). That's because I also need screenshots when I'm away from computer or when using Firefox for completely different purpose, not related to webpage that I would like to use for the tool I'm asking.

Clearly this feature you need would have to be somekind of browser add-on; as you cited. I just dont think there is a cost-benefit for Mozilla to build such a unique feature into a browser designed for the general populus. But who knows?
