firefox won't recognize javascript

more options

I got 2 replies for my problem. One was too technical. The other option, disabling No Script and AdBlock, doesn't work. I did come across a new option which was to type "about:config" in the address bar, and eventually found that javascript is marked as true.

Something else that might be helpful to the person reading this: Another help page says to go to Options, then Content, check off Enable Javascript. My Content page doesn't show that. I have Firefox 30.0
